About AUG MUG 2025
AUG MUG 2025 is a premier event for professionals in the nuclear power industry. It brings together engineers, operators, and technical experts to share insights, explore innovative solutions, and address industry challenges. The user groups provides a unique platform for learning, networking, and hands-on interaction with the latest advancements in valve technologies and power generation.
Anchor/Darling specializes in critical service valves for the power industry. The brand’s heritage dates to 1888 (for Darling) and 1950 (for Anchor). Anchor/Darling valves are designed to meet stringent nuclear standards, delivering proven reliability, safety, quality and long service life.
Argus was founded in 1948. The brand produces high-quality engineered ball valves for the harshest conditions, including severe service applications prone to abrasion, corrosion and erosion. Specifically, Argus valves are commonly found in critical liquid and gaseous services in chemical, petrochemical and refinery operations. They fulfill the highest demands of fugitive emissions (FE) under ISO 15848. Special and customized designs are available for high-pressure, high-temperature and challenging applications like oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen.
Argus specializes in metal-to-metal gas tightness applications with HVOF and spray and fuse coating (Arguloy), which enables a wide range of custom solutions. The brand introduced an innovative coating technology in 2009, followed by a new laser coating and cladding technology in 2014.
Durco was founded as the Duriron Casting Company in 1912. Its long history set the standard for ANSI chemical process pumps and robust plug valves. The brand is known for its durable designs, ease of maintenance, proven reliability, wide array of features and an extensive global support network. Complementary seals and seal systems are also available, enabling single-source convenience.
Highlights of Durco’s innovative history include the engineering and manufacturing of the world’s first Teflon® sleeve plug valve in the 1950s. The company has created unique materials, including Durimet-20 (Alloy 20) high alloy austenitic stainless steel — developed and patented in a joint effort with Ohio State University — and Durcomet 100 (CD4MCuN) duplex stainless steel in the 1960s. During the same decade, Durco introduced the first plug and butterfly valves fully lined with Teflon.
In 1997, Durco merged with BWIP, creating Flowserve Corporation.
Since 1929, Limitorque actuators have been making flow control easier among a broad range of applications. These actuators are world-class devices used to consistently drive multi-turn and quarter-turn industrial valves and dampers, providing years of dependable service. More than 1 million Limitorque actuators have been installed around the world — and some have been in operation for more than a half-century.
Limitorque changed the industry with its strategic introduction of a “torque-limiting” design. Today, all heavy-duty electric actuators use some device that “limits the torque” to safely operate automated valves and protect people and property.
