Effective Date: Originally issued on May 12, 2022

Policy purpose

Consistent with our Values, we believe every individual has the right to a safe and healthy workplace, while being treated with dignity, decency and respect. In that regard, we strive to respect and promote human rights in accordance with international principles including those encompassed in the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights in our interactions with our associates, business partners, contractors, distributors, suppliers, vendors, and the communities in which we operate.

Applicability

This Human Rights Policy (the “Policy”) is intended to operate in conjunction with our Code of Conduct, Supplier Code of Business Conduct, Global Equal Opportunity and Respect in the Workplace Policy, and Privacy Policy, and applies to all Flowserve associates around the world, including all associates of our joint venture partners and the facilities we manage. In addition to our associates, we expect all business partners, contractors, distributors, suppliers and vendors to respect and uphold the human rights principles set forth in this Policy and in applicable contracts and urge each of them to adopt similar policies within their own businesses.

Distribution and accessibility

This Policy will be publicly available through Flowserve’s external communication channels. Additionally, the Policy will be available to all associates via Flowserve’s internal channels and stored on the employee intranet site under HR Policies.

Flowserve ensures that all associates are aware of the Policy through regular training.

Freedom of Association and Collectively Bargaining

Consistent with applicable law, Flowserve respects the rights of its associates to join, form or not to join an employee association or trade union of their choice without interference. In the exercise of these rights, we believe in the free exchange of ideas, opinions, and information, provided there is no interference with these rights.

Forced Labor and Human Trafficking

Flowserve prohibits the use of all forms of forced labor, including bonded, indentured or involuntary prison labor, and is committed to the strict prohibition of human trafficking.

Child Labor

Flowserve prohibits the use of child labor within its organization and in its supply chain. The term “child” refers to any person employed under the age for completing compulsory education, or under the minimum age for employment in the applicable country, whichever is the greatest. Flowserve supports the use of legitimate workplace apprenticeship programs which comply with all laws and regulations applicable to such apprenticeship programs in the relevant country.

Promoting Safety, Health and Environment

Flowserve is committed to providing associates with a safe and healthy work environment, and to comply with applicable safety and health laws and regulations. Flowserve strives for continuous improvements in its products and processes to minimize waste and protect the environment and communities in which Flowserve operates.

We work to ensure full compliance with all applicable wage, work hours, overtime and benefit laws.

Flowserve is committed to providing privacy protection of associate data maintained by the Company. Associate data will be used for the purpose of supporting Flowserve operations and providing associate benefits. Flowserve has safeguards in place to ensure personal data is protected and unauthorized access and disclosure, including limiting access to such data only to those associates, vendors and other business partners with a legitimate business purpose.
