Decoking System - Control system

The basic control system includes a master control panel located near the pump train, a cutting deck panel for each pair of drums, as well as upper and lower proximity switches to monitor crosshead travel and tool position inside the drums.

Decoking System - Crosshead (Free Fall Arrestor)

The Crosshead and Free Fall Arrestor system guides and centers the rotary joint, drill stem and cutting tool assembly in the coke drum and provides personnel and equipment safety in the event of steel wire rope failure.

The Crosshead is designed to safely absorb all torque loads normally sustained from cutting operations. The Free Fall Arrestor ensures safe operation by preventing cutting assembly equipment from free falling in the event of suspension failure. No electric or pneumatic connections are required to activate the free fall arrestor system.

Decoking System - Drill Stem

Decoking System - Rotary Joint

The Flowserve Rotary Joint is robustly designed to support the suspended loads experienced in decoking units. It serves two key functions. First, it transfers water from the decoking hose to the drill stem and has a sealing system to allow the high-pressure water from the jet pump to pass into the rotating drill stem without leakage. Second, it provides rotational movement of the complete drill stem and cutting tool assembly by way of a driver mounted on it.
