Flowserve, Flow Control Division, the manufacturer of Anchor/Darling ''N'' stamped valves 2'' and smaller, offers SWING CHECK VALVES class ''1878'' which provide reliable operations in systems, such as:

  • SIS, RHR, LPCS, and HPCS
  • Reactor recirculation and water cleanup
  • Sample, instrumentation and control
  • Vent and drain

along with other reactor penetration and isolation applications.

The valve is specifically designed to meet the intent of ALARA radiation exposure programs. The time required for disassembly and reassembly, whether for normal maintenance or repair, keeps radiation exposure to a minimum. The duel seat disc design is stocked as standard for leak free sealing at both high and low pressure differentials.

The valve in stainless steel is designed for metal to metal sealing at the 1878 intermediate standard class rating for 2735 psig @ 680 degrees F. The resilient seat material is qualified for use in 420 degrees F water or steam with a 6-year service life along with 2.2 X 10 to the 7th rad as an integrated dosage.

Flowserve's U.S. made valves are available in stainless and carbon steel and can be provided in other materials upon request. 1878 Swing Check Valves are stocked as ASME Section III Class 1, as are all our valves 2'' and smaller.
